Labels overhauled

Just a update.

Ive finally overhauled the T.V. section so theres T.V. Related(comics,books,music etc) and than just T.V. (the Video file).

Ive also added Video which will house all the video files (TV Movie trailers Commercials Muscic videos ect)

There was also a huge addition of titles (mostly movies) which did not have title labels - now they do!

I hope this makes it easier to find stuff - zenjoy the site!

Happy New Year to me

I was most pleased to find a personalized piece of art in my email. I love it when someone takes the time to say thanks in a comment or email letter for the downloads but it's even more when something a bit more is included... this takes the cake - i had to share.

What makes this even more special is that Marc recently had a life changing injury when he was paralyzed from the waist down. During his recooperation he had to change his art media to digital art and obviously he has a knack for it already. I for one hope he continues on with his art in this new chapter of his life.

A few new changes

There's been a few new changes...
color schemes have been altered.

I'm reworking the labels - the way they look and also general style.

also
I changed some of the wording and placement on the left side of the blog - everything is still there.

Also the new year has changed the look of the archive a bit - everything is still there though (you just need to hit the year and it will open up with all the posts)

also the 'recent comments' has changed a bit of its look (no longer showing titles) this wasnt my doing, just a blogger change)

and last but not least i'm working over the labels - cross referencing and adding additions which were missed originally - i hope this helps in searches in the future (Im still working on this part - even more labels coming!)

Feel free to comment on these changes or things you think should be changed.

Blog update: Removing the dead wood.

Well we lost free access to cultrarare videos since they went to a pay per dvd format and it looks like Filemojo has deleted a large amount of uploads too. So once again I am having to 'gleen the blog' by deleting old posts that no longer have viable links. I will be going through the old posts over the next few days and reuploading what I can and having to delete what I can't reup. sorry for any inconvienance but rest assured more cool stuff is on the way to make us all feel better about this. oh well might as well have some fun with this poor turn of events - If you have to rip a chunk out of something you might as well have some fun while doing it!

Poster : Disney Studios Air Races (1933)

From 1933 we have the poster for one of Disney's early hoopla events - the Burbank Air Field Air Races. Fun retro ephemera.

I am rather fond of this poster . A couple years back I did a poster size rendition of it. Unfortunetly I can't find the original pics of the color version but I do still have the preliminary graphite version . It was way too large to try and scan so I had to photograph it and the digital camera I used didn't have the greatest resolution or the best lighting . I wish I still had the originals so I could at least re photograph them for my portfolio - oh well ,live and learn. :) I know it's a bit of shameless self promotion (Honestly If it was only that I'd have posted some 'better' works of mine) I thought it might be cool for some to see the comparison to the original.

Another cool site bites it

Sadly Cultrarare videos has gone (well actually it has changed its name and has gone from free movie downloads to a pay for dvd site) It was great while it lasted and i hope folks took my recommendations at the time and DLed the stuff before the change. There are still several posts on the blog which links to the site so i thought id give a 'formal warning/heads up' .

This is a good time to remind folks to grab stuff when it's first posted (whenever possible at least) you never know when it'll go.

well enough of the bad news lets get back to some stuff you CAN download (and for free!)

Hello baby Thor

Hey folks!
I had to stop by the house and pick up some stuff to take back to the hospital but I had to drop a message to say: I'm pleased to announce my new son has arrived .Officialy 'Thor, Robert, Stan-Lee, Siddhartha, Zen, Tiger ' (whew say that 5 times fast.. and I must say my wife was awesome with allowing me the addition of Stan Lee to his name, i was happy with getting Thor as the first name but that was the big bonus.) He came in at 6lbs 6ounces -19 inches and all the toes and fingers are there. It was a long day that ended up with complications and a 'C Section' but everyone is safe and well. Unfortunetly they are still in hospital till Friday due to the surgery so naturally I'm just dropping a quick message for now and then hurrying back - more uploads are still scheduled for the next few days so keep tuned! (I hope to be 'back' online next week sometime,but knowing me ill try and make a little time over the weekend .) Take care and have a good one!

A few movie reccomendations that can be found on the net

I thought I would toss up a couple recommendations i've recently watched (and can be found on torrent sites) Seems I only do this once every few months and there is allot of other great things ive watched inbetween - but these stand out. the content varies as far as genre but thumbs up on all of them from me.

Alice Sweet Alice - classic 70s suspese/horror- if you like scary kids give it a try and youll be surprised i think. I cant believe i missed this one till now.

the Mist - Stephen King scifi horror flick (this is actualy a really well made King film - sometimes his adaptations can be real stinkers but this is a fun flick filled with shocks and frights)

X-Men Origins Wolverine - there is a decent workprint of this film out there - Nuff said!

Afro Samurai Ressurection - if you liked the first one youll want this one too (Didnt see the first? go get it now and thank me later)

Bedtime Stories - Adam Sandler in a Disney flick - fun for the whole family - action/fantasy/adventure. (Good clean fun)

Watcher in the Woods - Disney 1980s with Betty Davis -scares and frights in a classic disney flick which doesnt get the credit it deserves in my opinion.

Well the doctor finally gave us a definitive date for the baby - itll be april 7th. I will be pretty much off line for awhile starting on the 6th till the 12th or 13th. (Im sure ill still be checking in and probably posting some stuff) Have no fear though I have already started to make future posts to fill in the time gap that i wont be posting (so you wont notice much difference on your end) IF anyone needs me feel free to send up the catsignal (or email me) and of course the other guys will still be able to post stuff.Zen Tiger

damn didnt realize i was this big of a geek

Not sure if you call it geek ,nerd or other (ill stick with fanboy) but it seems im a little bit farther down the evolutionary (devolutionary?) chain when it comes to my fan status and geek boy collection. As a kid my family lived a bit of a 'gypsy lifestyle' so collecting was a bit eratic until my teen years whence i ended up with more than 20,000 comics and mags before i was 16. Well by the time I had turned 18 i was already starting my first family and all those went to the local comic shop for a hefty paycheck (although i wish i had them now to sell!) Since then i slowly have recollected about 1/10th of my original collection (in hardcopy form) and have gotten just about everything back in digital form (and then some.) but i have also been slowly amasing a collection of memorabilia . I never really had a chance to look at my collection as a whole though for some 15 years. It has been scattered throughout my house in boxes and a few occasional things on display (like posters or the collectors figure im raging on at the time.)

Well while cleaning up my 'computer room' (which is really 'my' room since 90% of the stuff in it is mine. - from books to computer stuff and my art to much more - its my 'catch all room') anyway - while cleaning the room and going though closets i started to put all my 'toys' in one place. (making this room into the nursery) Amazingly theres more than just a couple boxes of fanboy stuff like i originaly thought. (not counting the 10 or so boxes of comics and magazines not to mention the several hundred hardbound and soft cover books and novels) here is some of the things i refound most of which i forgot i even had. (most are still in the box/plastic)

the Candyman figure from the horror movie.
7 crypt keeper dolls/figures.
8 star wars mugs (thanks mom - but can i have something else next holiday?? lol)
about a dozen figures of 'the Tick'
3 or 4 Alien figures
a couple dozen Xmen related figures
4 figures from the horror film Puppet Master (full moon)
several Spawns
two full displays for ep1 of star wars from 7-11 (lg JarJar Binks)

several 'Devils Reject' figures.
many 'tigger' related toys.
several spiderman figures and related toys
dozens of misc Disney related things
wolverine / spiderman/hulk mugs that never got out of the box
various movie monster classic figures (Drac,frankenstein,creature ,wolfman etc)

and a few dozen other misc things which i have reboxed up and already cant remember!
Im not listing the stuff like posters and misc trinkets (ive got a few dozen movie posters and probably a couple dozen little gizmos - like cereal toys that all have a movie or comic tie in.)

Now this isn't a huge collection by any means and im sure more than a couple of you have a better collection than this. So i am not trying to impress anyone with this - thats not why im posting this revelation of mine. I just never thought i had1/10th of this stuff (and almost all of this was bought after age 25.) and also i didnt know i was this far into fanboy land. Oh well at least the wife isnt saying i have to get rid of any of it .
