PDF converter
If you have problems with PDF files (or simply dont like using PDF) here is a free tool that can help. Its not the greatest or the fastest one out there but it is easy to use and rather small in size. Plus best of all it's freeware..and there doesnt seem to be any spyware or other crap.

PDF Image Extraction Wizard 1.2 (last freeware version)
is fast, easy and has a light footprint. Extracts jpg,jpeg,tiff and bitmap IIRC. Does batch extractions with the images numbered sequentially, a batch renamer is very useful in conjunction with this. First item on the page here
