I can't thank this blog and Lysdexicuss enough for posting all this great, great Kirby material. I began a fascination with the comic fan community in 1966 or so and could only read, in the first primitive fanzines, about Kirby's early work. Most of his stuff was unavailable or far too expensive for me. At my first comicon in 1970 in Oklahoma city I was able to buy a Captain Midnight and Captain Marvel (affordable because the title had been cut off the cover--a common practice even when I bought comics) and, my prize, for $5.00 I went to a kid's hotel room and bought EC's Impact #1. The New Direction comics were sort of looked on as cheesy, but this had Kriegstein's "Master Race" in it and I had to have it.
Anyway, to make a long story longer, I just wanted you to know this blog's impulse to share the wealth has been very meaningful to me. Thanks again.
