This has Russ Heath art on a "Return to Mars", a twist on the contactee stories that were in the UFO magazines of the 1950s. In this story the Martians don't invade the Earth because their weapons are too powerful and would destroy the planet, so they patiently wait for us to destroy ourselves. This fiendish plan inspires the story's hero to campaign for disarmanent, so the Martians will never conquer Earth.
Many contactees back then (and today, I guess) say the aliens tell them to warn Earth of the dangers of nuclear weapons. This was a nice twist on the reasoning behind that.
