The title HERCULES AGAINST THE MOONMEN suggests a ridiculous attempt to marry Greek mythology to hokey sci-fi fantasy.That is not strictly the case as these 'moonmen' are in fact moon worshippers who live inside the "mountain of death" and specialise in sacrifices to a lunar deity.The movie is atmospheric as it approaches its climax as Hercules wreaks appropriate justice to these lunar loonies.As Herc,Alan Steel is more than good and is effective in his scenes of muscle flexing and indeed acting(at least as much as can be detected from a dubbed performance)For me this is far better than the Reg Park HERCULES IN THE HAUNTED WORLD which is generally considered the best in this genre. - cardiff
