I was aware of the TV series but I have yet to see any of it or even to read the novelization (which I recall seeing occasionally decades back).
I always enjoy castaway dramas and this comic version is kinda entertaining. Not actually good, but definitely worth paging through.
Thanks for posting it.

Wow. Never heard of the TV show and I'm wondering if it was half as pretentious as this comic was. Still, it's a fascinating bit of obscure pop culture. And I'm still trying to figure out what's going on with the two figures in the foreground on the cover of the first issue. Are these statues? The man's head looks mutilated.

This was a non-Dharma Iniative Lost Island story. I wonder if this show or the comics or novels were seen by the creators of Lost? I think they are all too young to have seen it in 1970.
The story mentions that they have landed on an unused atomic test site in the Pacific. The figures on the cover are plywood figures. I don't know if they really used fake people in those tests.
I assume they built the town and left cars with gas and food there to see the effects of the bomb. The films I remember seeing of atomic tests usually showed buildings being knocked down.

I meant to say the figures look like mannequins, store dummies. I don't know why I said plywood.

I remember seeing some bomb film with dummies.. cant fothe life of me remember which one though. Im sure it wasnt a typical addition to those tests by any means.

These are spotlighted items - not always 'old' because of when they were made but rather these are things that were posted awhile ago on this blog and have been 'archived' in the back.
