#25 was the only issue of this all Ditko special containing two reprint stories and two new stories. It continued the numbering from Konga #1-23, Charlton's King Kong type comic which grew out of a movie adaptation. Ditko did the majority of the artwork on the series.
Stephen Bissete wrote a nice piece on Fantastic Giants here at http://schulzlibrary.wordpress.com/2009/06/14/steve-ditkos-konga-the-lonely-one/
Bissette refers to a just published academic article on the Charlton monster comics, particularly those by Ditko. It's a long article, maybe thirty pages. It can be found here http://scan.net.au/scan/journal/display.php?journal_id=131
Thanks Dave. I would definitely be interested in more Konga and Gorgo comics.
I forgot to give a hat tip to ditko.blogspot.com for pointing me to those two articles. Post is here http://ditko.blogspot.com/2009/06/link-ditko-and-charlton-movie-monsters.html
Great site with lots of 50s Ditko stories and covers right on the site and news of all things Ditko
These are spotlighted items - not always 'old' because of when they were made but rather these are things that were posted awhile ago on this blog and have been 'archived' in the back.
All Non Public Domain files are to be used as previews. If you like something please go and buy it. If I have posted something that is copywrited and you want it removed just leave a email or comment. If a link is unwanted to your site just comment and it will be removed. I want to give a special thanks to all original scanners.~ Zen Tiger

Dave, Zen, it's #24 I meant. There is no #25. Just a typo.
