Seasons come and go...
We lost a 'member of the family' this weekend. My wife and I had George for over 12 years and I must say she was not the most intelligent but she was one of the sweetest cats I ever had. (We actually named her after the old cartoon saying 'which way did she go George' because of her 'keen wit'.) She will be missed by us both.
On a strange and somewhat nice note my mother needed someone to take care of her cat while she moves into a new place. So we now have a visitor for a few weeks, 'Jerry' who may be one of the oldest cats to ever live (He is 24+ years old! no kidding) surprisingly he is still in pretty good shape and gets around without any problems. (despite being blind in one eye this old scrapping cat still goes out at night and gets into fights with other local cats - hes a true old warrior tomcat.) Having Jerry in the house has made it allot easier on my wife to deal with the loss (I had tons of animals in my family growing up but this was her first cat ever - she never really had pets as a kid)
