As a kid I found out Les Paul was Eddie Van Halens guitar hero and that was enough for me to check him out. - The man changed guitar history . Not only can he play but he's also a type of mechanical musical genius!

Les Paul (born Lester William Polsfuss on June 9, 1915) is an American jazz guitarist and inventor. He is a pioneer in the development of the solid-body electric guitar which "made the sound of rock and roll possible."His many recording innovations include overdubbing, delay effects such as "sound on sound" and tape delay, phasing effects and multitrack recording. multitrack recording... damn where would music be without this!!!! He also had a tv show with his wife and singing partner Mary.

Music : Squirrel Nut Zippers

Time for some more tunes ~ yet again something different ~ This time it's the swinging cheesy fun toe tappers known as the Squirrel Nut Zippers.

The Squirrel Nut Zippers are a band formed in 1993 in Chapel Hill, North Carolina by James "Jimbo" Mathus (vocals and guitar), Katharine Whalen (vocals, banjo, and ukulele), Chris Phillips on drums, Don Raleigh on bass and sideman Ken Mosher.

While the band's eclectic fusion of Delta blues, gypsy jazz, 1930s-era swing, klezmer, and other styles made them hard to categorize, their quirky music found a niche in the late 1990s. ~ wiki
